Matthew 7:24-27
Easy-to-Read Version
Two Kinds of People
24 “Whoever hears these teachings of mine and obeys them is like a wise man who built his house on rock. 25 It rained hard, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house. But it did not fall because it was built on rock.
26 “Whoever hears these teachings of mine and does not obey them is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 It rained hard, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house. And it fell with a loud crash.”

Hi, this passage refers to your family and how you can build either strong or weak families. The building materials you use, or the tools are called principles and teaching within the Bible as the sayings of God that help you put together your family unit, like getting married first without premarital sexuality and things of that nature. Do you decide to spank your child, or you are against spanking, Prov 13:24 and Prov 29:15? Will you have religion in your family, are you a regular church goer, Joshua 24:15? Will you devote your life to applying Scriptures as a family rule, 2 Tim 3:14-17? Will you adhere to following the Ten Commandments, training your children to do the same, Duet 6:4-9? Of course, this passage refers to building a strong Christian family not just a family in general. The lesson here is to take up Christian principles and teach them to your children this will build a strong family as opposed to not teaching Christian principles to your family which is considered a weak family.
