Hi everyone has faith, or this is a foundation of becoming a Christian, all of us must of course believe in Jesus Christ and his promise to redeem mankind. What passage in the Bible tells us what faith is?

Faith Directed People’s Lives
11 Faith assures us of things we expect and convinces us of the existence of things we cannot see. 2 God accepted our ancestors because of their faith.
3 Faith convinces us that God created the world through his word. This means what can be seen was made by something that could not be seen. 6 No one can please God without faith. Whoever goes to God must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who seek him.
This type of Christian faith is basic and mandatory by all, and essential to gain any of the promises made throughout the Bible. On the other hand, after you have established the required basic for true Christian faith you may be rewarded with a gift or a special kind of faith that is bestowed on leaders within the Church. This gift of faith is necessary for building and maintaining the church with care until salvation is given out during the final days, 1 Peter 1:5. How does the Bible explain people that have faith and/or but expressed wrongly?
Romans 1:18-23

God’s Anger against Sinful Humanity
18 God’s anger is revealed from heaven against every ungodly and immoral thing people do as they try to suppress the truth by their immoral living. 19 What can be known about God is clear to them because he has made it clear to them. 20 From the creation of the world, God’s invisible qualities, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly observed in what he made. As a result, people have no excuse. 21 They knew God but did not praise and thank him for being God. Instead, their thoughts were pointless, and their misguided minds were plunged into darkness. 22 While claiming to be wise, they became fools. 23 They exchanged the glory of the immortal God for statues that looked like mortal humans, birds, animals, and snakes.
