Hello good evening, thanks for the A2A. Well, I am surprised that you asked this question even though I am not surprised that you wanted the information that is pertaining to the translation of a Greek word in the passage. Let’s look at the Bible passage you are talking about:
Luke 18:8
Modern English Version
8 I tell you, He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?”
This passage has a lot of information in it and the key in also included. The word speedily must be in adjudication to a certain action which is that the Son of Man must return first then he can act. When he comes, he will for sure avenge religion and the way people have worshiped God by using a revealing, 2 Thessalonians 2:3-13. This is really a lot of information there is a fault to be found in how people decided to worshiped God, enough to the point where avenging is needed. But the key here is: Will God find faith on the earth? The earth has over 2 billion people professing to be followers of Christianity: Will God see true faith in over 2 billion people? That is the main issue of this passage, regardless of any judgment by God will he find Christians that have faith?
This may be a big struggle because even now I find people with little faith, or it is shockingly low. Too low in fact for any actions to be taken by God: Who would spiritually perceive anything? Who would understand? Who has read the Bible and learned and is waiting for the judgment of God? Will people be happy with God’s judgement, or will they be sad when it does actually happen that your family members and friends have been judged? What will the earth be like at the arrival of God? Are you prepared? Will you be surprised, shocked, and unknowing? Will you be quick to acknowledge or caught off guard? What passage in the Bible helps us to see the future before it happens?
Malachi 3:2-3
Living Bible
2 “But who can live when he appears? Who can endure his coming? For he is like a blazing fire refining precious metal, and he can bleach the dirtiest garments! 3 Like a refiner of silver he will sit and closely watch as the dross is burned away. He will purify the Levites, the ministers of God, refining them like gold or silver, so that they will do their work for God with pure hearts.
